About the role
OccuPros is hiring a full-time Traveling Safety Trainer to deliver hands-on safety training to workers and supervisors across Texas and the surrounding states. This is a salaried, 40-hour position based in the Dallas and Fort Worth area, with roughly 50 to 60 percent travel. Certification is a record. Competence is a behavior. We are looking for someone who cares about the second one: a trainer who can hold a room of people who did not choose to be there, explain why a standard exists instead of reading it aloud, and send everybody home the way they showed up. You do not need to be an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer to apply. We hire for character and coachability first, and we will pay for the credentials. If you have real field experience and something in you that likes teaching, we will sponsor your OSHA 500 or 501 and build the rest. Compensation and Schedule - $52,000 per year ($25.00 per hour), paid biweekly - Full time, 40 hours per week - Home base: Dallas and Fort Worth area - Travel is roughly 50 to 60 percent, primarily Texas and neighboring states. Day trips wherever the schedule allows, with periodic overnight and multi-day assignments. - Travel is covered by OccuPros: lodging and airfare, mileage reimbursement at the IRS standard rate for personal vehicle use, and a meal per diem on travel days - Paid time off and paid company holidays - Position open until filled Who We Are Looking For These are the things we actually screen on. Credentials we can buy. This we cannot. - You would rather a class be uncomfortable and honest than smooth and forgettable. - You can hold a room that does not want to be there, without either backing down or talking down. - You explain why a standard exists. Reading slides out loud is not training and you know it. - You will not sign off on training that did not actually happen, no matter who is asking. - You treat every crew like your own family works on that site. - You want to be coached. You will be, regularly, and it will make you better. - You keep your word about where you will be and when you will be there. People plan their production schedules around you. Leadership Development Is Part of This Job Every OccuPros employee is enrolled in our internal development program, and it is a condition of employment, not an optional perk. It is completed on paid company time. - The OccuPros Way. Our orientation program covering how we work, what we will and will not do, and the standard every client interaction is held to. - The OccuPros Leadership Academy. A 22-course internal program grounded in the 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, with written worksheets, knowledge checks, and coaching conversations. Courses are released one at a time so the pace stays realistic alongside your travel schedule. For a trainer this is not a side quest. The people in your class are watching how you carry yourself long before they care what your card says. If mandatory personal development sounds like a burden rather than an opportunity, this is not the right fit, and that is genuinely okay. What You Will Own - Deliver OSHA 10-Hour and 30-Hour outreach training for construction and general industry - Teach specialized topics including fall protection, scaffolding, confined space, excavation and trenching, electrical safety and energy control, hazard communication, powered industrial trucks, aerial lifts, rigging and signal person, HAZWOPER, work zone and flagger, and heat and severe weather - Deliver First Aid, CPR, and AED certification courses. OccuPros is an American Heart Association Training Center, so this is done in house, and we will sponsor your instructor credential if you do not already hold it. - Travel to client facilities, job sites, and project locations to deliver training on site - Set up and operate our Mobile Training Unit for field deliveries - Adapt standard curriculum to the client's actual operations, equipment, and hazards rather than delivering the same deck everywhere - Run hands-on evaluations and skill demonstrations, not just classroom time - Assess comprehension, document attendance accurately, and issue completion records - Stay current on OSHA regulatory changes and bring what you learn in the field back to our curriculum team - Deliver training in Spanish where the crew needs it - Represent OccuPros on client sites, including holding the line when somebody asks you to cut a class short What You Need on Day One - Enough real field experience that a crew will believe you. That can come from working the trade, supervising it, or doing safety on it. We care more that you have been there than exactly how long. - Willing and able to travel roughly 50 to 60 percent, including overnight trips - Valid driver license, reliable personal vehicle, and an acceptable driving record - Physically able to perform the essential functions described below - Willingness to complete The OccuPros Way and the Leadership Academy as a condition of employment - Willingness to earn OSHA Outreach Trainer authorization, sponsored by OccuPros, if you do not already hold it - Authorization to work in the United States Preferred - Bilingual English and Spanish. We deliver training in Spanish for many of our clients, and a trainer who can run a class in both languages reaches crews that would otherwise sit through a class they only half understand. This is the one thing on this page we do not train. Helpful, But We Will Train You None of the following are required. If you have them, say so. If you do not, apply anyway. - Current OSHA Outreach Trainer authorization, OSHA 500 for construction or OSHA 501 for general industry. If you do not have it, we sponsor it. - American Heart Association First Aid, CPR, and AED Instructor credential. Also sponsored. - CHST, STS-C, ASP, CSP, or a similar safety certification - Formal teaching or training experience, or familiarity with adult learning principles - Equipment-specific credentials such as powered industrial truck, aerial lift and MEWP, rigging and signal person, confined space rescue, or HAZWOPER 40 - Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 or 1910 standards - Experience with an online course platform or blended online and hands-on delivery Working Conditions and Physical Requirements - Split between classroom and training room settings and active construction and industrial job sites - Exposure to weather and site hazards during field training and equipment demonstrations - Required to wear standard PPE on client sites for the full duration of the visit - Standing and speaking for extended periods, frequently for full eight-hour training days - Frequent walking, climbing ladders and stairs, and traversing uneven terrain - Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, including training equipment, manikins, props, and printed materials - Extended driving and periodic air travel, with overnight stays away from home - Early start times to match client shift schedules What OccuPros Offers - Salary of $52,000 per year, paid biweekly, rather than chasing per-course rates and hoping the calendar fills - Travel fully covered: lodging, airfare, mileage, and meal per diem - OSHA 500 or 501 outreach trainer authorization sponsored by OccuPros - American Heart Association instructor credential sponsored - Paid time off and paid company holidays - A structured leadership development program on paid company time - Access to our full course library, curriculum team, and Mobile Training Unit, so you are not building materials from scratch at midnight - A company that backs you when you refuse to cut a class short How to Apply Apply through the application form on this listing and attach your resume, or email your resume to squad@occupros.com with Traveling Safety Trainer in the subject line. If you hold OSHA outreach authorization, include your trainer card. If you do not, tell us instead about a time you taught somebody something that stuck. Reference: TST-20260812-DFW. Questions? We tell the people we love to buckle up, to put the phone down, to not drive when they are too tired. Then we get to work and rename that same instinct compliance. OccuPros exists to put the care back into it. We say no to shortcuts. If a client asks us to cut training short or skip steps, we decline and explain why the full process matters. No deadline, no budget, and no pressure justifies a shortcut that puts workers at risk. If you have ever been pushed to sign a roster for training you knew was not delivered, you already understand why that line matters. Here, you will not be standing on it alone. OccuPros LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
